Psalm 42 is one of my favorite Psalms and one of the passages of scripture. It captures how I feel in the darkest times of life, the distance from God, the despair, and discouragement. It then helps me see the darkness in light of the eternal hope in God.

Psalm 42:5 … “Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation”
