Throughout the book of Amos, God proclaims overwhelming judgment. His words of hope are like thin slivers of light piercing ever so sparsely through a blanket of storm clouds, but God does not leave the Israelites without hope. The final verses of Amos are like the promise of the rainbow after the storm. We may face overwhelming trials in this life, but when we are with God, we have an enduring hope of a beautiful life to come.
