Sometimes we feel like we are on a carousel of peace and prosperity which goes round and round without end. This is how the Israelites were feeling during the reign of Jereboam II. Israel gained ground against their enemies, had peace in their land, large houses, and abundant resources. Amos was sent to proclaim God’s warning of trials to come because of their unfaithfulness. God is sending out warnings today as well. Are we listening?
