Some days we feel like the prophet Jeremiah when he says, “My soul is bereft of peace; I have forgotten what happiness is; so I say, ‘My endurance has perished; so has my hope from the Lord.” (Lamentations 3:17-18). It is a crushing feeling when we lose hope, but Jeremiah goes on to give us reason to hope even when we feel hopeless.
